Get creative with the Aurora Surf crew to ride the winter winds. Families are invited to construct and decorate their own colourful kites in a guided workshop, then take it outside outside to fly together in a joyful winter celebration. You’ll also learn a story-web about the Great Southern Reef and how its kelp forests, seabirds and marine life are connected.

The Aurora team makes sure everyone flies safely with clear spaces and easy instructions in this session blending creativity, movement, and curiosity, with children and adults alike feeling inspired to explore and care for our incredible coastal ecosystem. Then you’ll take your hand-made kite home, to fly again another day.
