Tales of Fae and Folklore by the campfire

You’ll find no Cinderellas or happy-ever-afters here! Instead, gather round the fire and let long ago tales sweep you into a world of witches and curses, warrior girls and clever boys who battle odds and win (mostly). An event for all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult. Food and drink available in Captain Wishart’s garden.

Can painting or dance or sculpting be healing? What can a visit to a gallery do for our bodies and minds? How does music help us with emotional, mental and physical health? Writer, presenter and author Jill Rivers believes creative experiences are the magic potions that make our lives worthwhile. And unlike many medical treatments, they are an elixir that is pure pleasure to imbibe. Join Jill downstairs by the fire at Wisharts Gallery, to hear case studies from her book The Arts Apothecary: A Vital Prescription for health, happiness and wellbeing. Light refreshments included. Food and drinks also available.

Hear about Lane’s rousing new book Roar, stories of the strength, skill and determination of some of AFLW’s most exciting stars.
