Pallisters Reserve, 457 Masons Rd, Orford
Pallisters Reserve is an abundant 250-hectare wetland space that’s home to more than 125 bird species and hundreds more flora specimens including gums, tea trees, banksia, rare native grasses and more than 25 orchid varieties. The Friends of Pallisters welcome guest speaker Doug Robinson from Trust for Nature, who will talk about how climate change affects the reserve, now and in the future. Enjoy a winter walk through the rugged landscape, take part in native tree planting and seed bombing, or photograph wildlife as you explore.
Light lunch provided. All are welcome. Wear full-cover clothing and sturdy shoes. Meet at the Visitor Information Centre in Port Fairy at 9.30am to follow a convoy of cars to the reserve if required. For more details on this fantastic event please see the festival website or call Pallisters volunteer, Peter Carrucan on 03 5562 6179.
