What a sight! They may be small in stature but they sure put on a BIG show!
The famous Dash is back again - bigger and better than ever before. We'll have increased viewing and seating options for the crowd and an improved PA system to call in these fine creatures as they scurry across the finish line. Plus, check out the prizes below!
9:00am Dog's Breakfast on the Village Green
Dogs of all breeds are welcome to join in the fun and games on the Village Green. Sausage sizzle, coffee carts and the annual class photo of dog's and owners.
10:00am Dog's Parade down Sackville St to the cricket oval
Strut your stuff down the main street to the racing venue. A final (or first!) chance for pups to warm-up before the main event.
10:30am Dachshund Dash races
There's food and coffee carts, but it's the dogs that the crowds come for. It's a flurry of intense action as the two main races (under 2's and over 2's) take place, followed by the fun and frivilous obstacle races and other categories, including 'Dog Who Looks Most Like Their Owner'. Who will take the title the crown this year?

Dachshund Dash prizes
In addition to the glory, the winning Dachshunds in both age categories will receive an A4 framed portrait of themselves by talented local artist Jimmi Buscombe. Portraits are valued at $310 each.
Jimmi works from photos to create incredibly life-like illustrations of animals and pets. This is such a special way to have your champion pooch immortalised in art and we thank Jimmi for his support!
Here he is with some examples of his fine work.
