2012 DACHSHUND DASH

The 2012 Dachshund Dash will again be sponsored by the Port Fairy & District Community Bank and we are expecting a good turn up of competitors whose owners look forward to the annual event in Port Fairy.

The Dachshund Play Group of Melbourne, a group of 140 dachshund devotees, are enthusiastically looking forward to the 2011 race (see http://www.meetup.com/dachsiemeetup/).

In 2011 the Dachshund Dash was preceded on the Village Green by a ”Dog’s Breakfast” where all dogs, and their owners, can sample doggie goodies before the march to Southcombe Park for the big race. Subject to planning, we again hope to run the "Dog's Breakfast" as a prelude to the now famous "Dash".

The 2012 Dachshund Dash is scheduled to be run at 11am on Sunday 11th June 2012.
