“Directed by inspirational teacher Darren Wicks and accompanied by Jazz-Blues man, Andrew Ogburn, Melbourne Singers of Gospel performs songs of soul and purpose in the Gospel and Motown tradition with the funky, foot-stomping energy of a massed congregational choir.”
Melbourne Singers of Gospel (MSG) is a secular and unauditioned choir performing in the style of the massed congregational gospel choirs of the United States and Southern Africa. MSG sings traditional and contemporary African-American gospel mixed with original songs and arrangements written by Australian artists. Well known standards are combined with a fresh repertoire of gospel spirituals and ballads as well as lively unaccompanied quartet style songs.

"Australia's #1 male a cappella group" - Deke Sharon, the "father of contemporary a cappella"
"Oh What a treat! Australia's favourite a cappella man-band return from their tenth overseas tour to bring their soulful, cheeky and boisterous harmonies to Port Fairy. Fans the world over are raving about their infectious comedy, their world-class harmonies, and their engaging stage show that'll have you laughing, crying and singing all week. Their the Melbourne lads with a sparkle in their voices and a twinkle in their eyes."
"Do you ever get that feeling, as you are watching or listening to a great performer, when your heartbeat increases and the bottom of your stomach falls away? Suade can make you feel that way for the whole time they're on stage. Apart from my aching smile and laugh muscles, the hardest part about this show was picking a stand out moment." - Adele Scott, Breaking Even Theatre Reviews"I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how impressive your performance was at SingFest. I'm not just talking about your on stage performance although that was superb and clearly deserving of your new title as Australia's Champion aCappella Ensemble but also your work as educators and your generosity at the Chorditorium. I'm sure that everyone who met you will want to see you again and when it comes to seeking headliners for shows, the name Suade will now be on everyone's lips. You hit several home runs, gents..." - Brett Logan, Director, SingFest 2010
